Every morning the prayer topic, scripture, and prayer will be made available here, through our app notifications, and posted on our social media accounts.  We hope you'll join us in this opportunity to prioritize prayer as we enter a new year.

28 Days of Prayer 

 

Day 1 Prayer: 

God, help me to feel the fullness of Your love. May the love of Christ overflow in my life so that others around me see more of you and less of me.

Scripture:

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Acts 1:8

Scripture:

 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people—  for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

1 Timothy 2:1-2

Day 2 Prayer: 

Father, I pray that you pour out your spirit on our nation and turn our nation’s hearts towards you so that we may put you first.

Day 3 Prayer: 

God, thank you for the gift of the children.  Please bless them as they go about their day, protect them from all evil and fulfill your purpose for their lives.

Scripture:

The Lord will keep you from all harm – he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.Psalm 121:7-8

Scripture:

Know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.

Psalms 16:8

Day 4 Prayer: 

We thank you that your Holy Spirit is filling our family right now with unspeakable joy and peace that passes all understanding. 

Day 5 Prayer: 

Father, I offer my life to You anew today. Take me, all of me. Remove from me anything that is holding me back from living my purpose.

Scripture:

For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 29:11

Day 6 Prayer: 

God, please restore my relationship with ________. 

Help me do my part to make things right.

Day 7 Prayer: 

God, thank you for my friendship with ________. I pray that you open their eyes to the truth of your word and do a work within them that they would seek to know you.

Scripture:

Open the eyes of their hearts, and let the light of Your truth flood in. Shine Your light on the hope You are calling them to embrace.  Reveal to them the glorious riches You are preparing as their

inheritance.

Ephesians 1:18

Scripture:

My heart is broken

but you are near.

My spirit is crushed, but you are my rescuer.  

Psalm 34:18

Day 8 Prayer: 

You are close to the brokenhearted and those whose spirits

are crushed". 

God draw close to me and to those who mourn and rescue us. 

Day 9 Prayer: 

God, heal me according to

your words.

Heal my soul

and body.

In Jesus’ name.

Scripture:

“Lord, heal me according to your word that says–he heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds.

Psalm 147:3

Scripture:

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives”

John 14:27

Day 10 Prayer: 

Father, thank you for promising us a sound mind. I pray for peaceful thoughts and emotions to rule my days and nights.

Day 11 Prayer: 

God, calm my fears and anxieties

and help me

trust in you

completely.

Scripture:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

Scripture:

If any of you lack wisdom you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.​

James 1:5

Day 12 Prayer: 

God, give me the wisdom to make the right decisions that honor you. 

Day 13 Prayer: 

God, please bless my neighborhood. Our homes, schools, parks, libraries, places we eat, work and play. Let our community be a place of peace and love. 

Scripture:

Love your neighbor

as yourself.

There is no commandment greater than these.  

Mark 12:31

Scripture:

It is my prayer that your love may abound more and more.”

Philippians 1:9

Day 14 Prayer:

God, thank you for my husband/wife.   I choose to see him/her as the greatest gift you have given me.  Please help me to love him/her the way you do.

Day 15 Prayer:

God, thank you for my job. Allow me to reflect you at work so that others learn more about you.

Scripture:

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.

Colossians 3:23

Scripture:

But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.

Psalm 5:11

Day 16 Prayer:

God, continue to equip, encourage, and strengthen our educators. Use their gifts and talents, give them wisdom and keep them safe.
